It’s time to apply for your Colorado elk and mule deer hunts.The Colorado application deadline for deer and elk is April 2nd, 2019. Whether or not you plan to hunt in Colorado this year, applying for a preference point is a wise long-term move. Even if you plan to hunt with an over-the-counter (OTC) elk license, we strongly recommend applying for a preference point.In case you didn’t know, you can earn a Colorado elk preference point and still hunt elk this fall with an OTC elk license. Have your cake and eat it too!
