BOOKING/PRICING

All hunts in Unit 62 are unguided hunts unless otherwise arranged.

The Hunts include all the same accommodations as a guided hunt except no guide, and you have to field dress and quarter your own animal.

Guided hunt price includes transportation from the Montrose Airport to the Lodge and back.

Arrive the day before the hunt and leave the day after the hunt. (Details)
All Hunting Package includes 5 days of hunting.

In Archery Season we have 4 different hunts and dates listed below Muzzleloader Season is in the 3 weeks of Archery.

We assist field dressing animal and transporting game to the lodge.
Horses and mules provided for packing out game.
4 wheel drive vehicles are available to transport hunters to unit areas.
4x4 ATV's available for hunting in back country areas. Spike camps if possible.
Stay at the rustic Dark Timber Lodge.
Get two hot meals and a terrific sack lunch daily, with hot showers, a bed and all linens provided.
Transportation of kill to the butcher and taxidermist are provided.
3D archery practice course on premises.

- ASK ABOUT OUR SUMMER RECREATION -

We specialize in Deer and Elk hunts in Unit 61 and Unit 62. This is excellent hunting with rifle and bow. We hunt on Uncompahgre National Forest & BLM.

We have horses and mules to help pack out game killed, also 4-Wheel Drive units and ATV’s to transport hunter to different sections of the unit we are hunting in. Our hunter-to-guide ratio is 2-to-1. Dark Timber Outfitting has over 20 years of big game hunting experience.

Price includes ACCOMODATIONS at Dark Timber Lodge, ALL MEALS, and SNACKS, HOT SHOWERS, ALL BEDDING and GUIDE SERVICE. We will take 12 hunters in each season. In Archery Season we have 4 different hunts and dates listed above. Muzzleloader Season is in the 3 weeks of Archery. Not included Processing, Gratuities for Guides (10% to 15% of hunt cost), tags, Taxidermy work. Remember, if born after January 1, 1949, you will need a valid Hunter’s Safety Card from any state.
