BOOKING/PRICING
Unguided Hunts and Archery only first two weeks. The Hunts include all the same accomodations as a guided hunt except no guide, and you have to field dress and quarter your own animal.

Guided hunt price includes transportation from the Montrose Airport to the Lodge and back.

  • Rifle Hunting Package includes 5 days of hunting.
  • Archery/Muzzle Loader Package includes 5 & 7 days of hunting.

In Archery Season we have 4 different hunts and dates listed below Muzzleloader Season is in the 3 weeks of Archery.

  • We assist field dressing animal and transporting game to the lodge.
  • Horses and mules provided for packing out game.
  • 4 wheel drive vehicles are available to transport hunters to unit areas.
  • 4x4 ATV's available for hunting in back country areas.Spike camps if possible.
  • Stay at the rustic Dark Timber Lodge.
  • Get two hot meals and a terrific sack lunch daily, with hot showers, a bed and all linens provided.
  • Transportation of kill to the butcher and taxidermist are provided.
  • 3D archery practice course on premises.

Prices include: Accomodations at Dark Timber Lodge, all meals & snacks, hot showers, bedding and guide service. We will take 12 hunters in each season. Not included: processing of meat, gratuities for guides (10%-15% of hunt cost), tax, Taxidermy work. Remember if born after January 1, 1949, you will need a valid Hunter's Safety Card from any state.

Deposits of $500 is required for all reservations, in each session. Reservations should be made as soon as possible.
