My name is Adam Gall and along with my wife, Anastacia, and our daughters, we own and operate Timber to Table Guide Service and Dark Timber Lodge. After several years of guiding elk hunts throughout the greater Gunnison Basin (from the Ragged Mountains, through the West Elk Wilderness and down to the Powderhorn Wilderness) we wanted to start our own outfitting service. Ana has a profound love of food and getting to the heart of how and where our food comes from. Her skills as a butcher and my love for guiding led us to where we are now.

 

We’ve noticed a bit of a shadow growing over the main reason why most people hunt. That reason is meat. Really good meat. We wanted to provide a guide service that highlighted the importance of the meat we’re blessed with when we take an animal’s life. Providing opportunities for first-time hunters was a big motivation for starting Timber to Table Guide Service so that we could instill how important the food aspect of hunting is. In addition, we teach basic skills of the hunt and promote the vital role our public lands play as it relates to hunting.

Whether you’re a first time hunter or you’ve got dozens of elk kills notched on your belt, we believe we can provide you with a high quality and very memorable experience in some classic Colorado elk country.

With Dark Timber Lodge and Dark Timber Outfitters, we’re able to offer a wide range of hunts. The permits we hold in Units 61 and 62 allow for over-the-counter meat hunts on an annual basis as well as one of the best trophy units for bull elk in the state of Colorado during the archery and early season rifle hunts.

 

Our permitted area in Units 52 and 521 as well as private land allow us to take advantage of the late season hunts when the elk have migrated out of the high country down to their winter range.
